The following words are the most frequent 200 words that you will see in books. The idea behind practicing these sight words is that your child will have an easier time reading. You may notice your child has trouble learning these words out of context, show them the word in a book and practice the words so that they can gain the knowledge of these frequent words. Your child is expected to know the first 100 words by the end of grade one. Practicing the second 100 words will ensure for an easier transition into higher level books and grade two.
